Gautreaux Family Medical Recovery
Donation protected
The loving and charismatic Gautreaux family is an instrumental part of our community supporting our youth through helping coach numerous sports and students within our schools. Christine and Eric both provide instrumental guidance and love to some of our neediest students within our schools. Early last Sunday morning, around 2 am, Eric was unable to breathe, so Christine took him immediately to the ER, where they discovered critically low sodium levels, a neck mass, fever and tachycardia. After multiple tests, they finally discovered it was a Streptococcal A Blood Infection, which can quickly develop into toxic shock syndrome and can eventually result in organ failure and death. He is currently still in the hospital, with critical numbers improving and an antibiotic being delivered through a PICC line to treat the infection. The infection has caused some complications they are still treating and he will not be released until he is stable. Upon discharge, he will continue IV antibiotics at home and may need to see organ specialists in Denver to assess if there is permanent organ damage. They are now faced with incredible medical bills and a great deal of uncertainty for the recovery process. Please consider donating to this amazing family. Eric is positive and determined to recover, with our support he will fight the healing battle with success.
