Gavan McGuane

Hello, my name is Rohan Partridge, and I am raising funds for Gavan McGuane.

On the 14th of April, 28 years ago, Gav lost his left eye and most of the sight in his right eye in a workplace incident.

His sight has been slowly deteriorating over that time and now requires expensive surgery to try and save his right eye so he can continue to see what little he can. All going well the surgeon hopes to fit him in some time in May, which is not far away.

Most of you know Gavan for his football heriocs in the late seventies and eighties and successful coaching. He has touched many lives at the Southport Sharks, Coolangatta Blues and Broadbeach Cats, where he coached them to a flag in 1996 with only one eye alongside Jason Cotter.

With the contact Gav has had with people on the Gold Coast over the years, Im asking anyone who can help Gav with a small donation, to do so and to spread the word to anyone else who can.  It would be much appreciated. Every little bit will count.

All funds will be used for the operation on the eye, post op care, medicine and follow up appointments.
