Help Gavin attend The Congress of Future Medical Leaders

Gavin has been nominated to attend "The Congress of Future Medical Leaders" conference in Boston, Massachusetts for three days at the end of June. This conference will provide him a rare opportunity for someone in Wyoming to meet with Nobel Prize winners and world-class medical and scientific minds, while connecting with like-minded peers from around the country.

To be nominated, a high school student must show exemplary academic achievements, such as a 4.0 GPA or ACT score of 22 or better, which Gavin maintains. He is a member of the Rawlins High School Drama Club and Speech and Debate Team, a representative of the high school in the Southwest Regional Math Contest for the second year, an active participant in the D&D Club that meets at the library and is a dual-enrolled college student through Western Wyoming Community College.

This extraordinary young man intends to go to college in the medical fields of bioengineering and psychology, with the ultimate goal of reverse engineering the brain to better understand and treat neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer's, Tourette's, and bipolar disorder.

Along with face-to-face fundraising within his community, Gavin is reaching out to those extended friends and family, as well as their contacts, to assist in aiding him achieve this fantastic opportunity to connect with others who share similar interests and dreams. Funding will cover tuition, travel, lodging expenses, and meals for himself and a chaperone. Any funds donated that go beyond what is needed will remain in Gavin's education fund.
