Remembering Gavin Brandon
Donation protected
With a heavy heart, we announce Gavin Brandon's passing on July 16th, 2022. Gavin is survived by:
- His loving and devoted wife, Alyssa Brandon (Caldwell), and sons Asher and Ryder
- His incredible parents, Gail and Carty Brandon
- His brother Scott, sister-in-law Jeannette, and niece Addison Brandon
Gavin is also survived by innumerable other family members and friends who will forever miss him dearly. Each of us is shocked and devastated by this loss in ways that words cannot adequately describe.
Within minutes of announcing Gavin's transition to Heaven, his family received an outpouring of condolences, photos, and tales of beautiful memories. To everyone who has called, texted, or posted on Facebook to share how GB touched them or left his mark on their life - THANK YOU. It means so much to the family and has significantly helped to carry us through these dark days. It is no surprise to see that every single person who met Gavin loved him. Whether he was a coworker, a best friend, a teammate or a classmate - he was special to you. Gavin's legacy is one of love, commitment, adventure, and most of all - laughter. This will be how we choose to remember him. Each of us is grateful for every joke and wisecrack, every prank and stunt, and every kind word Gavin ever shared. Gavin was the light in a dark place for many people and a shoulder to cry on if you ever needed one. He'd have given the shirt off of his back to anyone. He was "one of the good ones" - and although we wish we'd had more time with him, to see him grow as a husband, father, son, and brother - we could not be more thankful that Heaven gained this awesome angel and that he is at peace and no longer in pain.
So many of you have offered help and support, and we can't express how much we appreciate GB's tribe rallying to comfort Carty, Gail, Scott, Alyssa, Ryder, and Asher at this time. With gratitude, we ask that in lieu of flowers, you contribute to this fund to help the family get through this tough time of uncertainty while Alyssa navigates what exactly is to come next.
If you have any questions or would like to contribute in another way and aren't sure what Gavin's family needs, please don't hesitate to contact Alyssa's cousin Asha (818-805-6422) or her sister Jasmine (661-902-9229) for more information. A service for immediate family is in the works, but details on an open service for Gavin will be sent out for those who wish to attend as soon as we have them.
Again, thank you all and rest easy, Gavin! We love you so much and will never, ever forget you.
