Tragic events have devastated the life she knew

While the pain of grief in burying her beloved partner of 18 years in November of 2023 is still intense, Gayle Murphy must now cope with being evicted from the home they shared. Sean Dugan, the man whom Gayle loved dearly, suffered from harm OCD and they faced this challenge together as a couple. After walking with him through this ordeal for many, many months, Gayle has had to face the shock of his death by his own hand even while recovering from her own spinal surgery and other medical issues.

The family of Sean Dugan has now chosen to claim all his property, belongings, bank accounts and every asset as their own. Gayle recently received legal notice that she is being evicted from their shared dwelling!! She must vacate within 30 days, though she has been on medical disability for several months as she physically recovers and is still dealing with the raw and painful emotions of losing her life partner to suicide. The law does not protect Gayle from this because there is no longer a common law marriage in the state of Pennsylvania. His family has the legal right to do all of this, but the injustice of their actions has an immediate and devastating impact of Gayle’s life.

This GoFundMe is asking for funds to assist Gayle with moving expenses, short-term living expenses and any legal fees that might result as she attempts to build a new life in the face of tremendous adversity.
