Gayle's Memory Care Support

Hello, my name is Heather. As many of you may know, my mom Gayle has been battling dementia for some time now. Our family has made the tough decision to move Mom to a memory care facility for her growing needs. She needs to be around peers and caregivers who can provide daily activities to keep her mind active. She will be in an environment with enrichment activities and surrounded by staff that will provide the support that she needs.

The amazing facility that we have chosen requires an initial deposit of $8,000, plus monthly expenses of $750 to $1,000 beyond Mom's social security and medical benefits. Mom didn't plan for the expenses of long-term care before she retired, therefore the financial expense of her care falls on her children. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to bear this financial expense, so we are reaching out to our community for support. Our goal is to provide the funds for her initial deposit and 2 months of expenses. Please consider donating $100, $50, or even as little as $5, every little bit helps.
