Salam everyone!
I am Amir Qudaih, a fresh civil engineering graduate living in Boston, MA. During 2016, I came from Gaza to the US, and my journey has been long and challenging yet very rewarding. This would have not been possible without the great support of Elizabeth Warren, Jimmy Carter Center, and CNN.
During the last week, Gaza has been subject to constant bombing. As a result, civilian houses and buildings were destroyed, hundreds died, and many more left injured and homeless… It breaks my heart and every Palestinian’s heart not being there with them to support them.
To help everyone in Gaza survive these brutal conditions, my friends from Gaza in the US and I are launching an emergency campaign. Any small amount you donate will be of great help. If you can’t donate, please help us spread the message. We aim to provide:
- Food Packages. An amount as little as 50$ can feed a whole family in Gaza!
- Medical Aid Packages. Being isolated from the world, Gaza has a shortage of medicine. Injured people in Gaza need any medicine to survive!
- Shelter. With many residential buildings demolished, we want to help people who lost their houses find affordable emergency housing. Our campaign will provide these people with rent and house supplies.
- Eid Packages. These tragic events are taking place during the Eid at the end of Ramadan, the holiest month for Muslims in Gaza. We will provide all children with Eid packages to put a smile on their faces. Our children deserve moral support during a wartime.
As most of us know that Gaza has been under Israeli attack that killed as of now more than 50 people, including 18 children. The Gaza Strip has been under Israeli blockade for more than 15 years. This blockade from Israel made life in Gaza unbearable. More than 87% of Gaza people are dependent on aid. 98% of Gaza water is undrinkable. Many goods are restricted or banned from export and import, including farmers’ produce and vital medical equipment. As a result, poverty is rife in Gaza, and its residents face a severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies.
I ask everyone to contribute to the children and people of Gaza. Your support would contribute to their survival. All proceeds will go directly to the families in Gaza. I also ask you to help us spread this message as much as you can.
