Help evacuate my family from Gaza

Hello everyone,

My name is Reem, and I am raising money to evacuate my family back home in Gaza. My cousin Ahmad, his wife Jehan, and family have all suffered deeply from the war. Along with Ahmad’s workplace, Jehan’s family home has been bombed. Every day has been a constant struggle to survive. Currently, Jehan is ill and in need of medication where she can only access in Egypt. All fundraised money will go into their evacuation and medical costs.

Here is their story from Jehan’s perspective.

In the heart of the ongoing war in Gaza, a family stands in dire need of assistance.

I am Jehan El Batrawi and my husband Ahmad, along with our family (my mother Amal Almassri and my sister Maryan Farajallah), found ourselves amidst the devastation of war in Gaza. My family home in Gaza has been bombed, Ahmad’s studio and all our livelihood has been destroyed, and my health is deteriorating due to a lack of essential medication. In this urgent plea, we appeal for your generosity and support to help rebuild our lives and provide us with the means to access needed care and safety in Egypt. We are now in Rafah, living through a humanitarian crisis. Struggling to survive has become an everyday reality, facing severe shortages of necessities like clean water, food, cooking gas. We are forced to resort to primitive cooking methods using fire. We are exhausted. Ahmad's studio, which served not only as our source of income but a creative space for him, has been destroyed. Even with a ceasefire now, our lives have been destroyed. We are fighting not only against the ravages of war but also against the desperate need for medical care and a safe haven. With my health deteriorating and essential medication unavailable in Gaza, our situation is worsening by the day. In this urgent plea, we appeal for your assistance to help evacuate me, Ahmad, my mother, and my sister from Gaza and to safety. We struggle to survive and find it impossible to rebuild our shattered lives amidst the rubble of war. We desperately need your help and compassion.

The Financial Breakdown of all costs:

Travel Expenses: $6,000 per person

Medical Checkups: $500 per person

Living Expenses per month: $550
