Arts Grant for a Community Hero

Some of you know Robert Studdiford from the cycling realm - his innovative company Twofish Unlimited has been supplying small bike shops around the world with locally designed and assembled bicycle accessories for thirty years. Others may know him as an unsung artist and community organizer, teaching generations of stilt walkers and making wild costumes for Chicken Little Stilt Troup's performances at Oregon Country Faire. Almost all his friends know Robert the prolific and generous green thumb who shares popcorn, peppers and other magical offerings from his bountiful El Cerrito garden. And more recently, we've come to know him as a chef of mystical proportions who serves scrumptious, healthy food at our DIY music festival camping events, often putting in a week of unpaid labor shopping, prepping food, planning and of course schlepping it BY BICYCLE to the event and grinning madly while veggies sizzle in his wok, which is on par with Strega Nonna's legendary spaghetti pot.
Long story short, this man is an unstoppable force of hard work and generosity within our bicycling, musical and artistic communities!
And now the bad news: Twofish Unlimited has taken a big hit. Recently, Robert lost one third of his projected sales for this year when a major distributor dropped him without notice...Quite unfortunate timing as he had just made a giant purchase of raw parts, leaving him in a grave financial position. Twofish Unlimited needs a hand in order to adjust to this big change. And more importantly, Robert deserves a bit of dough in a time of need - as a tangible thank you from the communities he serves. Thanks for pitching in for someone whose creativity and generosity of spirit are in line with real human values! We hope to see you soon, perhaps at a bike camp-out with live music and delicious hot food.
