On Friday February 23 one of our own paramedics for Gila Bend Fire Department was involved in a tragic accident. Cody Jordan sustained multiple life threatening injuries from blunt force trauma. Cody immediately received lifesaving emergency care intervention on scene before being air lifted to a level one trauma center. Cody was stabilized and is currently still fighting for his life and receiving on going intervention in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
After graduating top of his class at Mesa Community College Cody began his career has a paramedic in 2023 immediately earning a full time position for Gila Bend Fire Department. Being a paramedic is truly a passion for Cody and his natural ability and brilliance at his craft sets him apart from most. He absolutely loves his job and being able to help others. Cody takes great pride in his work and all that he has already accomplished. Cody is constantly pushing himself to progress in his career which was evident by his recent graduation of the fire academy. You would be hard pressed to find a more positive, active, energetic, hardworking, caring, genuine all around good person than Cody.
While his prognosis in uncertain, his medical bills are piling up. He is the sole provider to his household and his family needs assistance going forward. We humbly ask all of you for any and all help that you feel you can give. Please keep Cody and his family in your prayers.
