Al Furqan mosque extension emergency funding

As salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, among the good deeds that will join a believer after his death are these: knowledge which he taught and spread, a righteous child he leaves behind, a copy of the Quran he leaves for inheritance, a mosque he has built, a house he built for travelers, a well he has dug, and charity distributed from his wealth while he was alive and well. These deeds will join him after his death.”

The Masjid is at the heart of any local Muslim community. It provides a place for its worshippers to pray and contemplate as well as being a hub for educational programmes and other everyday services. The role of the masjid is to help people learn more about Islam and to nurture their moral and spiritual development.

Current situation:

We are now inshaAllah entering the final phases of purchasing the remaining parts of the masjid, and we require your help in completing this purchase by the deadline as set out by the current landlord.

With your help, we aim to raise an initial €90,000 over the next few weeks inshaAllah (as per negotiations with the current landlord).

Previously by the will of Allah and your generous contributions, we have been able to secure the main prayer hall in the masjid, thus enabling us to operate this vital community centre and serve the needs of those within the city.

What will your donations be spent on:

-Purchasing the bathroom and wudu areas of the masjid

-Purchasing the gym/recreational area of the masjid: used as an essential additional prayer space, especially during Friday prayers

Jazakum Allah Khayr for on-going support in the past and present concerning saving this masjid and allowing it to be a centre that serves all in the community.
