The Basket Brigade of Saint Louis, established in December 2022, is a local 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the Saint Louis region. It operates as part of the global International Basket Brigade, initiated by Tony Robbins. This volunteer-driven program is dedicated to providing food and household items to those in need, with the belief that a single act of generosity can have a profound impact on countless lives.
Basket Brigades are volunteer collectives that span the globe. Within each local group, coordinators play a pivotal role in organizing basket-making events and facilitating communication among volunteers. Whether they distribute one or a thousand baskets, the core principle remains unchanged: giving wholeheartedly and savoring each meaningful moment.
Families in need can request assistance through various channels, such as our website, Facebook page, and the Nextdoor app. Additionally, we collaborate with local organizations, including The Kaufman Fund, to identify families requiring support. During this process, we gather information about family size and any specific health-related restrictions.
Our primary focus revolves around raising funds and mobilizing volunteers to deliver baskets on a quarterly basis. We currently do not accept food donations, as each basket is thoughtfully tailored to meet the unique needs of each family.
