(A great friend of LaCrystal Lockett)
Have you ever met someone and in an instant your life would be changed forever? I have. Her name is LaCrystal Lockett, despite fighting for her life, she has one of the best spirits I have ever come in contact with. Her positivity and optimistic outlook on life is infectious.
It is not by accident we met, I am sure of that. It isn’t by accident that you are reading this. I know LaCrystal is going to touch so many lives throughout her lifetime, but she needs your help now.
Not to take up too much of your time, but this is what LaCrystal needs:
Kidney
Pancreas
In Home Nurse
Medication/ Treatment
The top two items come at a cost that money can’t really buy, but if you know of a kidney call the Emory Transplant Center and tell them you want to donate to LaCrystal Lockett.
But you can help LaCrystal get the medication and treatment, as well as the care she needs with an in home nurse.
Why does she need this? Long story Short:
LaCrystal was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes at the age of 7. Since then, complications have followed, including:
In 2010, LaCrystal went blind in one eye
In 2012, LaCrystal was diagnosed with kidney failure
Also in 2012, She had a stroke that paralyzed her left side (which she battled to recover!!! yay)
Due to the Kidney failure LaCrystal has to undergo dialysis treatments 6 days a week, therefore she cannot work. As you know, no work means money is hard to come by. Even with insurance, prices for her treatment and medication are sky high. Not to mention, she needs someone to assists with her dialysis treatment; this is where the nurse comes in. Right now her friends and family are stepping in where they can, but they can’t always be there when La Crystal needs them. Without them there, La Crystal can’t get treatment. Without treatment, LaCrystal loses her lifeline.
How can you help? You have friends and family that can help, SPREAD THE WORD. Send out links to your love ones so that we can help this AWESOME woman, mom, and friend have life.
