Help Doha and her Family in Gaza
Donation protected
My name is Doha, and I'm 20 years old, a Nutrition Science student.
I'm reaching out from the heart of Gaza, a place where resilience is a part of everyday life. Each war has brought pain and suffering, but this one surpasses them all, it is a literal genocide. A genocide against life in Gaza. I thought a lot about creating this campaign, it was difficult to ask people for help. Hopefully, you can support my family and I, to travel out of Gaza and escape this nightmare!
During these seven months, my family and I were forcibly displaced more than four times. At the start, we went to the south, and it wasn't safe there, of course, so we went back to our home. Half of my family is still in Gaza City.
The Israeli bombing increased, and we had to head to the south again. We stayed for several weeks in Khan Younis. Then, the temporary ceasefire started. My family in Gaza city was surprised to see the damage that the Israeli bombing caused in our neighbourhood. A big part of our family home, which my grandfather worked hard for years to build, was partially destroyed.

Sadly, the temporary ceasefire ended, without us even having the chance to meet our relatives in the north, since it was forbidden to return! We all woke up again to the never-ending nightmare of aggressive bombing on the 1st of December.
Since then, the situation has gotten much worse. My family, consisting of my five siblings and parents, was forced to evacuate again to Rafah. Meanwhile, my uncles, granddad, and cousins are still in the north facing hardships, from providing water to finding food. During the escalating situation in the north, it is worse day by day. I haven't seen my family in the north for over six months.
Although we live in the same city we can't see each other. I've never imagined to not see my cousins, uncles and grandfather for such a long time, after living near them my whole life.
The situation in the south is unfortunately not better.
There is a lack of food, but thank God nothing compared to the north, although the prices are crazy, due to the lack of goods entering through the borders.
Rafah has become overcrowded in the last month, and many people reside in tents during these cold winter days.
Below you can see a picture of the bombing, that happens daily in Rafah (although it's supposed to be a safe place)...

As you all know, the only way to get out of Gaza is through the Rafah Egyptian Cross Border. The fees are really expensive.
We really pray a ceasefire happens soon, so we don't have to leave our homeland and so that we can FINALLY reunite with my family in the NORTH.

UPDATE: Borders are CLOSED by the occupation since the start of May. No one knows when it will be opened again.
So funds raised will be used to survive in Gaza amidst the ongoing war. Hopefully, in shaa Allah if the war ends soon the raised funds will be used to fix and repair our damaged home!

My cousins living in Austria will ensure the raised funds are sent to us. Thank you all so much for your kindness and support.
Your generosity means the world to us and gives us hope for a brighter future.
We are deeply grateful for each and every contribution, big or small. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
May God bless you all!
May God reward you all immensely!
Note: This fundraiser is managed by my cousin in Vienna on our behalf since it is not possible for us to create a GoFundMe campaign using a Palestinian bank account in Gaza.
