My name is Farhana, I am an optometrist in the UK raising money on behalf of a friend in Gaza, below is his story.

My name is Nabil, and I am a lawyer in Gaza, Palestine. I reside with my wife and our two children, Misk, who is 5 years old, and Kareem, who is 8 months old.

Once, our family enjoyed a life of contentment and peace. However, the ongoing conflict, particularly intensified after October 7th, has shattered our tranquility, plunging us into a relentless battle for survival. Our home has been destroyed, and I have lost my job. The laughter and joy that once filled our family home have been replaced by the deafening sounds of drones and missiles outside our tent. We have been displaced multiple times and now face the harsh reality of an imminent ground invasion in Rafah.

Every day, we live through tragedies, mourning the loss of many loved ones while cherishing the new lives born amidst this chaos.

In these dark times, I reach out to you through this GoFundMe campaign, seeking a beacon of hope. The authorities have made it increasingly difficult, nearly impossible, for ordinary people to afford the expenses required to leave Gaza. We urgently require £25,000 to secure the necessary travel documents, visas, and transportation expenses for my family to safely depart Gaza.
