Uncle Bill

My name is Michel Demeule and I have created this go fund me request for friend and great human Bill (William) Literovich.

Bill has spent his entire working life in the field of human services supporting families. In September of 2024 Bill experienced significant weight loss, which then escalated to issues swallowing. This issue was so significant Bill had difficulty swallowing water and required an esophagus stint to allow for swallowing fluids and food. Bill then experienced frequent ongoing travel and medical procedures to attempt to diagnose the cause of the issues.

On January 19th 2025 Bill was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. Despite the cancer diagnosis, Bill remains positive and is in the process of commencing treatment which will include regular travel to neighbouring medical centres for treatment ( 2-4hrs away from home community).

Bill is an avid outdoorsman and a familiar face at surrounding gun shows and is a long time member of the local gun club. Bill does not have children of his own though he is referred to as uncle Bill to many of his friend’s children. Regardless whether it’s a birthdays, Easter, Halloween, Christmas he is always generous with personalized gifts and kindness. It’s time now for us to show Bill that same level of care and kindness as he battles cancer.

Bill’s enthusiasm remains high as he begins his treatment. Bill’s primary focus should be on battling cancer and healing, not worrying about his finances.

My best hope is to lessen Bill’s financial worries to allow him to focus on his battle and recovery.

All finances raised will go directly to Bill, this will help cover travel, hotel, and the cost of cancer medications.
