On September 20, 2017 my friend Jason Murphy tragically died under mysterious circumstances just two weeks after his honeymoon. At age 34, he'd never been happier in his life. Jason took the LA Metro home from a premiere screening in North Hollywood that night, and a few hours later his body was found in the LA River, halfway between Lincoln-Cypress Metro station & his destination: home. Jason's wife Dina explains in the video getting the call from LA County Coroner's Office, and the nightmare that only just began with Jason's death.
She has walked through hell for the past 18 months trying to get answers about what really happened. How Jason wound up unconscious in 2" of water with a black eye & a herniated diaphragm has haunted her nonstop since she got the call. She's moved twice for her own safety and wellbeing. Dina's emotional trauma has been compounded by victim blaming from law enforcement, LA City & LA County offices. LAPD outright refuse to help her. Dina has tried to work with the Police and exhausted every reasonable way to get them to investigate. In fact, it appears they're blocking her from finding out how her husband died!
There are many reasons to believe that Jason's death was actually a homicide and therefore his death deserves a full and complete investigation. Dina needs financial support to hire a professional private investigator to canvass the area further, collect and verify new evidence. She will also need to retain a lawyer to represent her in a lawsuit to reclassify Jason's death as a Homicide, or even Undetermined.
Please donate what you can to help Dina with this investigation and legal fees. Also, please share with your communities. Your support and reposts can help solve a mystery, bring closure to a grieving widow, and justice for Jason.
