Ged O'Sullivan Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Gerald (Ged) O'Sullivan (SPC Boarder 1990-93) was unfortunately killed in a car accident on August 27th 2019 on his way home to his family from work. Ged was one of five brothers who attended St Patrick's College between 1977 and 1995. Eldest brother Michael (SPC 1977-79), Patrick (84-87), Bernard (1988-91) and Kevin (1992-95). Their father was a student at St Patrick's in the late 1930's.

Ged was known for his love of family, and his support and generosity of anyone in need of his help and friendship. He was first to raise his hand in support of anyone in need, and never asked or expected anything in return for his kindness. He was especially known for the annual sporting event that he organised for his 23 nieces and nephews (and any other children in the area who wanted to participate) every Christmas at Wye River.

Ged and his wife Lauren have a 2 year old son Michael, and she is expecting their second child in a few short weeks. Ged leaves this earth having made such a positive impression on so many and his loss will be keenly felt by all who knew him.

We are hoping to raise funds to support Lauren, their son and unborn child through the financial hardships this devastating loss will have on a young family without a husband and dad. The funds will be used to help pay for family expenses such as  the funeral and costs for the imminent birth of their second child.

Lauren O'Sullivan (Ged's wife) will be granted the sole use of any funds raised.

We thank everyone who is able to support this young family, especially the St Patrick's College Ballarat community who continues to lend their support to the O'Sullivan family. The family wish to thank everyone who has donated and the fund is close to reaching the half way mark. The funeral for Ged has been planned for next week. Thank you again for all who have donated, this will be a great help to Lauren and family.
