Gedo International University library

Despite the challenges of the past year, and immense gratitude to you all, the Gedo International University has been able to fare relatively well. Alhamdulillah the construction of the university complex has recently been completed and now the next challenge in the process is to bring it to life. We believe, fundamentally, that with locally sought & provided education there will be a radical shift in the knowledge we possess as a people about our own religion, history, identity and culture. Gedo International University welcomes all Somalis from all over Somalia and beyond to its institution while simultaneously aiming to play an essential role in providing safe, accessible, and a free educational resource center in the form of a modern state-of-the-art fully stacked library for every member in the community. Education is often referred to as the great equalizer as it can open the door to personal development & fulfillment, employment, resources and skills that an individual or a society needs to not just survive but thrive. This is a salient call to action for those who wish to see a change in our community and people.

We appeal to you in helping us fundraise for equipping the University facilities of the library & information center and the IT lab.
