We are OFEAD (Organization for East African Development), a diaspora-based group led by Somali youths who want to help our people back home by alleviating financial hardships and providing necessary support to enable success and self-sufficiency.

Charitable men and charitable women, who have loaned Allah a good loan

Our first fundraiser will be the continuation of a fundraising effort for Gedo International University’s library. We aim to procure computers, books and desks for this university to provide GIU students with the necessary materials they need to excel in their studies.

We are calling on the community to support this fundraiser and help obtain educational materials for the students. We also thank those who have previously supported this university.

Donating to this library fundraiser will help GIU empower its students by becoming a modern educational centre that anchors the community and brings people together. No amount is small enough to support the lifelong learning of Somali students from all walks of life.
