GENCare

Donation protected
Initiated by a group of high schoolers in Santa Clara County, GENCare is an organization aimed to reach out to many generations and people groups during the COVID-19 pandemic. As teenagers currently under the shelter-in-place order, we understand that this time is difficult for everyone; we have visualized the struggles that many people are currently going through. This inspired us to establish GENCare to preserve hope and unite our community through care.

Our Project: The Ergonomic Headband Project
Millions of workers, ranging from doctors to local grocery store employees, are required to wear face masks, given the current circumstances. These masks can be extremely uncomfortable for the user, especially after long working hours. Why does ensuring safety have to come at the cost of comfort? The Ergonomic Headband serves the purpose of providing comfort when wearing a typical face mask. Instead of the straps going around your ear, they will go around a button on the headband, therefore reducing tension and discomfort (refer to the photo below to see how the headband works).

Our first batch of headbands will go out to the Sunnyvale Post-Acute Center! Your contribution will enable us to pursue our Ergonomic Headband Project and help us purchase materials for the headbands; all excess money will 100% be donated to the COVID-19 Response Fund by WHO. Any amount of money would be very helpful; we are grateful and appreciative of your generosity!

*Note: masks are not included.
