I am Caroline, I am a 19 year old transgender girl from Albania. I came out almost 3 years ago now and it hasn't been easy but it has been the best 3 years of my life. I am the first transgender girl in Albania documented by "Aleanca LGBT" that will go through hormonal therapy and, also, am in a battle to be the first transgender person to change my name and gender marker legally in my country . Even though I have been saving for a while and it definitely was hard to even get a job, I'm still not able to go through HRT (hormone replacement therapy) because I have to do it in another country since we don't have the doctors here and I also have to get surgery related to my transition which will help lower my testosterone levels. All I want is just to be able to feel the sun on my skin and realize that I am finally home, that I finally have the chance to live my life as 100% me.
