Gender-affirming Surgery for Our Dear Friend

Hello!

We are raising funds to support our close friend through a time-sensitive, gender-affirming surgery. At her request, this campaign is anonymous to protect our friend's identity and well-being given the nature of her procedure. This life-saving surgery will render them virtually immobile for three months. We are calling upon our communities to show up for them this month (or beyond!) by pitching in to cover her medical, care, and living costs, as she will not be able to work during recovery time.  All contributions will be directly withdrawn by our friend needing your support .

Our friend's personal message to donors:

"I am a black woman who is in need of desperate medical attention. I am able to get life-changing surgery that will relieve the constant physical pain I'm in, as well as the mental effects it has on me, but I simply don't have the resources.

So I'm turning to my community. Getting this gender-affirming surgery will mean that I can stop being in constant pain and feel whole. This surgery is my second chance at life.
