Gender-affirming Top Surgery for DeAnne

Hi everyone! Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I'm DeAnne, a comedian based in Canada and the U.S. I've been openly non-binary for years and have been getting "they/them"ed by well-meaning, woke folks since I lived in Montreal in 2011. "You have a Netflix special? Aren't you already RICH?!" Oh, friends, I wish. (You'd be shocked to know how little they paid me.) As did so many other performers, I lost tons (I mean tons!) of work since this pandemic started and have been dipping into the savings I've been lucky enough to have to survive. It feels strange and vulnerable for me to ask for your help with this, but I've done enough therapy to realize that I can ask for what I need. How radical! Also, here we are at the edge of the world, and shouldn't we all go for what we really want in this life?

After years-- and I mean YEARS-- of experiencing gender dysphoria, I've finally decided to take the plunge and bid farewell to this sick rack. (As you can tell, I have some mixed feelings about this. It's honestly suuuuuuch a sick rack. If only I could donate it to a person in need!) I'm asking for donations to help pay for this surgery, as well as related expenses in the recovery period. Should donations exceed my goal, I'll donate forward to help others.
