Gene and Arlene 50th Wedding Anniversary

If it was up to my parents, I would absolutely not be permitted to launch a Go Fund Me for them! But…good thing I’m rebellious! And good thing I’m too old to be grounded… because they would ground me for doing this:

It’s my awesome parents 50th Anniversary! Why a Go Fund Me? Simple. As many of you have to come to love and know my parents, you also know that all they do is give and give and give.. and give some more. What you may not know is that they don’t take a dime or a percentage they get from Mission for Orphans … as my mom says “I can’t steal from the children”. I say … “mom, that’s not how it works.” She still refuses.

To celebrate my parents, I thought this would be a good opportunity for others to give to them. Sometimes people are too selfless when they are in need of some things themselves. *Here comes the part where they try to ground me* My parents have a hard time receiving, as most selfless people do, which is why I set this up without their knowledge.

50 years of marriage is a HUGE accomplishment… and even more so when their love has only grown. They are who you see in front of you: kind, loving, and still love each other. As a matter of fact, they still do everything together. They even go on trips to the post office together! My mom fires my dad up, and my dad cools my mom off. Together they have been a force … saving babies off the streets of India, teaching others, lending out their wisdom, and deeply in love with their family.

If you feel inclined to give to them, it would be gratefully appreciated. I know my parents will already be mortified about this, so I’m choosing to keep private some needs they have, just know it would ease some burden for them. Thank you so much in advance. Love, their daughter
