Gene Lewis's fight against Multiple Myeloma.
Donation protected
Hey everyone,
This is Peter Terrill and Brandon Dahl and we are friends of Gene and Jennifer Lewis and their wonderful family. As you may or may not know Gene was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (a cancer of the plasma cells and bone marrow) in July of 2022. Gene took the diagnoses in stride and began chemotherapy immediately while also working full time at Disney as an Assistant Editor. His hard work and persistence paid off and his cancer is now down to 1%.
However, Gene's battle isn't over yet. With the cancerous bone marrow in his pelvis mostly destroyed, he now has to undergo a bone marrow transplant to put healthy bone marrow back in. Fortunately, he is able to donate the marrow to himself. The downside is that Gene has gone on leave of absence from work until September and Jennifer, his wife also has to take six weeks of leave from her job so that they can stay together in isolation at City of Hope hospital.
Gene and Jennifer have been frugal with their spending, but lack of income for sixteen combined weeks will definitely deplete their savings and make them vulnerable to any financial complications. This is where we all can help. Our goal is to generate at least $10,000 dollars for Gene and Jennifer to help support them and their girls in their time of need. Recovery alone is a very tiring and stressful life event; they don't need added financial stress. Multiple myeloma never goes away entirely, but if Gene responds well, it can be managed and extend Gene's life.
Please give what you are able and help spread the word buy forwarding the link to anyone who would be interesting in giving. (FYI - All funds go to Gene and Jennifer directly.) Many thanks to you all in advance.
Sincerely,
Peter Terrill and Brandon Dahl.
