Gene Pope...Jeannie Pope's Dad

Hello everyone, it's with a heavy heart that I write this message. Anyone that has ever met my Dad, Gene Pope, knows he is a free-spirited, full of life, fun-loving guy who loves his girls. Today, while working at the fireworks tent just outside of Orlando which he has done for years, there was an explosion in his hands with some fireworks. He was rushed to the ER at the local hospital and taken immediately into surgery. The latest update, is they are hoping to salvage 2 fingers on each hand. This will devastate my Dad. He works with his hands, and LOVES to fish. He will need months of rehab and PT and we have no idea where this accident will leave him financially. If you find it in your heart to give I would really appreciate it. All proceeds will go directly to my Dad to help him with whatever he needs going forward. He lives a simple life, and loves to come up here to Destin, and rent a kayak and spend hours trolling the waters looking for that big catch, having an afternoon drink on the Harbor, and of course spend time with me and his Grandgirls!
