Several months ago our dad was diagnosed with a terminal lung disease requiring he be on oxygen 24/7, thereby greatly limiting his physical activity.
A month ago a hailstorm came through and caused damage to our parents' home and vehicles.
Almost two weeks ago a second, even more powerful, hailstorm came through and caused additional, more extensive damage to our parents’ home and vehicles, this time forcing them to move out until repairs can be made.
Three days ago our mom fell and seriously injured her knee, rendering her basically immobile and requiring an ambulance ride to the ER, specialist visits, and weeks of physical therapy.
As you can imagine, our parents have been under an enormous amount of stress and worry while dealing with all of this. Fortunately, insurance will cover some of their bills...but as we all know it's never enough. After watching their struggle and seeing them hit with more and more, we decided that we desperately want to help relieve at least some of their concerns by helping to raise whatever we possibly can to help with the medical bills and numerous insurance deductibles that they will be responsible for.
Our parents are incredibly giving and prideful people. They are always so happy and willing to help family and friends, however they can. They rarely, if ever, ask others for anything. As such, we know they would never ask for help during this difficult time... So we are doing it for them.
It would be amazing if we could give a little back to them and alleviate some of their burden. To do that we are asking for your help. Every little bit helps. We cannot even begin to express what your help would mean to them, as well as us. Though it will never be enough to truly show our gratitude, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
