General Election Fundraiser
Donation protected
Dia daoibh a chairde, my name is Diarmaid Ó Conaráin, and I'm running as an independent candidate in the coming General Election in the Dublin Bay North constituency.
For too long career politicians have squandered the opportunity for Ireland to reach towards its full potential. They have in fact provided the complete opposite, as we endure multiple crises from housing to healthcare, to the cost of living spiralling out of control and our towns and cities becoming less safe.
Ireland's people need new blood and fresh ideas in its administration, and I intend to provide a genuine alternative path to the one we're currently on. The political establishment in Ireland has stagnated for decades, and now outsources its responsibility to the European Union to supplement its complete lack of ability and ideas. Irish people deserve better, and our government should be filled with Ireland's brightest minds, not people who can't grasp the basics of supply and demand, and have no interest in creating a nation that is self sufficient. We are not getting value for money.
If you send me to the Dáil I will provide a true voice of reason and opposition, and introduce much needed ideas for policy that our political class seem entirely incapable of producing between them. Many of our politicians are landlords and millionaires, and in their comfort they are no longer capable of relating to the people of Ireland or their needs and desires.
Change is available if we're willing to seize it, and average turnout figures show that half the people you know who can vote, won't vote on the day. Ireland is running out of time, and we cannot endure 5 more years of complete incompetence and neglect. That's why I'm asking for you to give me your number 1 vote when the General Election comes, and please press everyone you know to turn up on the day to vote, and give these career politicians their walking papers.
I can receive donations not exceeding 100 euro anonymously. I cannot receive in excess of a 1000 euro within the calendar year from any individual or corporate donor. Any donation received in excess of 600 euro will have to be declared post election in the donations statement to SIPO.
All donations received will be spent on campaign material such as leaflets and posters. I want the roughly 100k voters in Dublin Bay North to know they have a real alternative, but I need your help to create visibility in the run up to the election. And more than that I need your vote, and the vote of your friends and family.
