Genesis Music Recording

I'm blessed and proud to be pastor @ Grace Christian Reformed Church, Joondalup, Perth, Western Australia. 

Thanks for your willingness to support our new ‘Genesis Music Project’  [Origins.] 
The focus of the project is to write and record songs reflecting the first 11 chapters of Genesis. As a pastor, preacher and song writer I always strive to stay as close to the Bible text as possible while paraphrasing it into music.

At the moment I’ve completed 6 songs with another 4 to be written over the next few weeks. Every song is prayerfully approached, as well as relying on years of research from trusted sources such as ‘Creation Ministries’ and ‘Answers in Genesis’ to ensure I understand and capture the heart, drama and true meaning of the written Word.

The aim of this project is twofold.
1.) Release the music on CD and digital media so that young and old can listen and sing along, helping to memorize the message of the first 11 chapters of Genesis.
2.) A live music & visual production is being compiled using art to convey its powerful message. This will be made available to share online in future as a powerful ministry tool.

What God has put on my heart is to make this a vivid experience for people so that the important message of our origins (our beginnings, our genesis) can capture the imagination of the church again. Many in the church - both pastors, theologians and church members - have bought into the lie that Genesis is only symbolic. My prayer is that the Holy Spirit will use this project to ignite in people again the awe and wonder of our origins as written in Genesis. The live music production is being planned for 24 & 25 February 2018.

Costing:  10 music tracks costs $800 each (discounted from the normal cost of $1200) to produce professionally. This means we have to raise a total of $8000 for studio production and mastering. The recordings will be done in December. Once mastered, there is also the cost to get it printed to CD and uploaded to digital platforms like iTunes.

Visuals:  Most of the editing and sourcing will be done by myself. Good quality pictures & video footage does not come free. But for now we are only focusing on raising monies for the professional recordings and production of the songs. We will fund the visual elements separately as needed.

You can become a partner with us in this project by praying for me, all the folk involved and the outcomes of it. Pray that God’s hand will be in every detail of this production. Pray for protection, blessing and providence. There is a sense in me that this is also part of a bigger spiritual battle to claim back ground that the church has lost in letting go of the literal message of Genesis. Prayer and ministry updates will be posted as the work progresses.

On a practical side, funding is needed to make this project a reality. As the Lord leads you can support us by helping to raise the necessary funds.

Any amount small or large will add up to bring us closer to our goal. If you know of others who share a similar burden to see Genesis revived in the hearts of people, please share this campaign with them so they too can hear about it and get involved with prayer and support.
