Genevieve and Annie and Oliver and Oscar

Since being diagnosed with secondary cancer in November 2018, my biggest concern has always been for the wellbeing of my partner, Genevieve, and our kids Oliver and Oscar.

We recently learned that my cancer is spreading quickly, and we’re preparing for a very rough time in the next year as I head into more brutal treatments. I’ll no longer be able to work.

I have started this gofundme to hopefully raise the equivalent of one year of my income, to help pay for end of life and funeral costs, and to help Genevieve and the kids, going forward. Obviously I can’t do anything to ease the heartbreak and pain of the next phase of our lives, but I can at least try to make sure they’re materially looked after.

If you’re lucky enough to know Genevieve, you’ll know she’s an incredibly beautiful person. Always giving, helping out, volunteering, bringing cakes and meals wherever they may be needed. If I hadn’t experienced it myself, I wouldn’t believe that a love like ours is possible. We’ve weathered some absolute shit together, but everything just makes our love stronger. Seeing the heartbreak that my cancer is causing her is honestly the hardest thing for me to bear. Genevieve can be shy about asking for help, which is why I’m doing this for her.

We’ve worked hard together for the last 20 years to build our dream life - offgrid handmade home, meaningful community relationships, and time for each other, our kids, and our big big love.
