Genni's Journey

Hi everyone! My name is Megan, I am owner of a beautiful 8 month old Blue Weimaraner. She has had quite a rough start for her puppy days and has spent most of those days in a cast up until recently in December 2023 from a broken leg. Her cast came off last December and she thrived finally being able to be a puppy up until Monday March 4th around 4:50PM she was part of a hit in run. (we have cameras and have the vehicle identified, but yet have been able to contact the owner...to be expected) She was hit by a large dully truck unfortunately and has a broken hip and fractured/chipped pelvis, with possible nerve damage on one side. Surgery is not an option at this point and we have decided to give Genni the chance to fight and heal with the proper loving care and rehabilitation resources, including this amazing GoFundMe opportunity.

Genni is a puppy and the odds are in her favor tremendously. This girl is ALL fight and her spirit is yet to be broken considering her unfortunate luck of the beginning of her doggy days. All she knows is love and play, and we plan to continue that for her along this healing journey. There will be good and bad days, and this is going to test not only her physical and mentals strength, but our whole families emotional ability along the side of her. She needs 24/7 care, and nursing her back to health is a heart wrenching experience, but our Genni girl deserves our love and support, as well as ANYONE and EVERYONE who is willing and able to support her along this journey of healing process.

We are just now starting this healing process with her and we are learning as we go the tools and resources that are working, and what we may or may not need.
