George and Danna Cusick


George and Danna Cusick's lives were changed on January 4, 2019 in ways that we have yet to fully understand.  An individual with selfish intent drove into their car head on at 60 miles per hour.  George's quick thinking and reflexes saved their lives and Danna is healing well (physically anyway) but George remains unresponsive and in need of constant medical care.  He was in the Intensive Care Unit in VA Beach (where the accident occurred) until January 27th, when he was transported via ambulance to a hospital in New Jersey.

Unfortunately, we expect the medical care to be constant and ongoing.  We are also expecting that their home will need modifications (ramp, etc.) once George is ready to go home.

George is a veteran of both the Navy and Army and takes tremendous pride in having served his country.  He is also proud of serving those who have served through his volunteer work with various veteran groups.  

Danna worked as an educutator in the New York City public school system.  

They have six wonderful grandchildren who love them very much and are counting on seeing Pop up and moving again!
