Teachers for Justice would like to acknowledge on May 25th, 2021 as the date to commemorate the death of George Floyd. The death of George Floyd brought much needed attention to the Black Lives Matter movement and the unjustified killings of unarmed black men in America.
On May 22nd, Teachers for Justice will host a community event to honor the legacy of George Floyd. The purpose of this event is to have a meaningful day of remembrance with the goal of bringing our community together to reflect and heal. We will have a 3 on 3 basketball tournament with people in our community and law enforcement officers. Activities will include but not limited to a 3 Point Contest, Dunk Contest, Knock Out, etc), Guest Speakers, and a DJ.
This event will be hosted by the one and only Rod Z.
