Roe V. Wade Billboard
In reaction to the Roe V. Wade reversal, the George Floyd Justice Billboard Committee proposes to arrange for a billboard nearest to CNN headquarters in Mid-town Atlanta, GA. The committee aims to create dialogue about the Roe V. Wade decision using an image that depicts the raw emotion of the abortion issue. Patrons are sought to cover the cost of the billboard. The committee seeks $8,750 to cover Atlanta, GA billboard expenses.

The George Floyd Justice Billboard Committee was formed in 2020. It is an organization comprised of professionals with backgrounds in the arts. In the midst of the global pandemic, protests, and a contested presidential race, the committee placed billboards in 5 major cities around the country to seek justice for George Floyd. The billboards urged onlookers to ponder justice using quotes alternately by the Dalai Lama (“Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible”) and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere”). The billboards received international media attention and solidified the committee’s mission to use bold displays of art and imagery to illuminate the need for justice and discourse on human rights issues.
