George King and family house fire fund

Hello, my name is Joseph and I am raising funds to support my grandfather and aunt after a horrendous house fire in which unfortunately my grandmother's life was lost.

My grandparents, George and Carole King were married for 65 years and lived on Hutchinson Road in Forward Township for 55 years. They raised their 3 children and had many happy memories there. A few years ago my aunt Laurie moved in with them to help care for my ailing grandmother.

On Friday, August 11th at 7:30 in the morning, they were woken up to the house filled with smoke and attempted to get out of the house. My grandfather and aunt were able to get out but my grandmother had to be rescued by firefighters. They were transported to a local hospital and then transferred to a larger hospital with a burn unit. Unfortunately, my grandmother passed away soon thereafter. My grandfather and aunt only had minor injuries but lost everything they had.

We are raising funds to help them with medical supplies, clothes, housing, and funeral expenses. They’ve lost so much and any support you can give during this trying time would be appreciated.
