My name is Trudi Parker, I am writing this request on behalf of myself and my beloved husband of close to twenty years, George. He is my best friend, and he has been diagnosed with an aggressive prostate cancer. This is his second bout with cancer, the first time being in his lungs four years ago. George lost the left lower lobe of his lung in order to reclaim his health and has been cancer-free until a few months ago.
A few months ago, the demand for my legal support skills and services was radically reduced by 75%. Shortly after that, George received his prostate cancer diagnosis. In addition, we are downsizing in preparation to move to a smaller abode with fewer stairs. At this point, the plan is to treat his prostate cancer with radiation therapy, which comes with more expenses.
After being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2008, George has kept his head held high while doing all he can to stay fit and eat clean. As of today Parkinson’s does not have a cure, so we deal with the medications and physical and emotional side effects as best we can. In 2010 we conquered type 2 diabetes through diet and exercise, along with some initial medical treatments. In 2019 George was declared cancer-free in his lungs, and in 2020 we believe we will conquer this too – a trifecta, or a three-peat if you will, with help from God and our caring family and friends.
