Georges P Vanier Daycare

Hello everyone,

My name is Natalie Roy, and my family and I (dad, Robert Roy and sister, Joelle Roy) have started this GoFundMe in honor of our loving mother/wife, Anne Marie Roy. Anne Marie passed unexpectedly early morning on September 24th, 2022. She was the most selfless, kind-hearted, sweetest soul anyone could have ever met. Her big personality could fill an empty room. Her smile bright enough to shine the way through any dark time and a heart big enough to share. Her entire adulthood she worked extremely hard as a Registered Early Childhood Educator. She’s been with franco-sol for nearly 20 years, starting as a classroom teacher and later being promoted to a supervisor. Georges P Vanier center was more than just a job to my mom, it was another home/family. My mother worked endlessly to do everything she could to help the children, families, and staff. She wanted everyone to feel safe and sense of home. To feel good coming into work or school and that it could be a fun, safe place for anyone who walked through those doors. She was constantly striving to make the center the best it possibly could be in its state. She always envisioned so much more for the center, she would dream of a nice shady, nature base yard with trees. All kinds of loose parts for the kids to explore and the teachers to engage in. She always hoped and dreamed that one day the daycare could get the renovations and the expansion it deserved. One day being a part of that and seeing the center reach its peak. So, in saying this, in place of flowers, we have asked that family, friends and anyone else in the community that may want to participate donate, to help raise money for the center in my mom’s name so her hard work and dreams can finally come true. We thank you all for your support and love during this very difficult time.
