Georgia's Bat Mitzvah Project

Tax deductible
For my Bat Mitzvah, I’m working towards performing a mitzvah (a good deed). My Torah portion for my Bat Mitzvah is about Creation. It made me think about everything that was created, and I started thinking about life. Life is beautiful, and it hurts to know that some people don’t want to keep living. So, I decided to donate to suicide prevention for my mitzvah project.

I found the Jason Foundation, which focuses on education and identifying at-risk youth. This stood out to me because a lot of other charities I research focused on helping after suicide has been recognized, and not on the equally important part of actually identifying it. Jason Flatt, the namesake of the foundation, inspired legislation that has now passed in 21 states requiring teachers to complete two hours of youth suicide awareness and prevention training annually.

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit The Jason Foundation, Inc., and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
More information about The Jason Foundation, Inc.: The Jason Foundation, Inc. (JFI) is dedicated to the prevention of the "Silent Epidemic" of youth suicide through educational and awareness programs that equip young people, educators/youth workers and parents with the tools and resources to help identify and assist at-risk youth.
