Surprise 80th Birthday Gift for Geo

George Mattingly is turning 80 this August 9th! In honor of this momentous occasion, we are sponsoring a bench in his name along the C&O Canal near Great Falls. Geo visited the canal often as a child, and it has continued to be an important place for him over the years. As kids and young adults, we camped, fished, hiked, and biked with him there.  It is still a favorite destination when we are together. To celebrate Geo and also support the National Park Service,  we are inviting people to contribute to this three-year sponsorship. We will compile a giant birthday card listing everyone who helps to make this happen. Please feel free to email favorite photos and/or stories of Geo, as well! And SSSSHHH! It's a surprise!
