Support the Doss Family

As many of you know, last week, little Josiah Doss became ill with an infection in the muscles and bones of his thigh and pelvic area, as well as in his hip joint. This illness had a very acute onset and Melissa and Jeremy found themselves unexpectedly at Children’s hospital for nearly a week, as doctor’s tried to figure out what Josiah’s diagnosis was and what his treatment would be. Josiah has since been discharged from the hospital (Thank you God), but he will have a treatment plan in place that will restrict either Melissa or Jeremy from working at this time (for at least 4 weeks). While both receive paid time off at their workplaces, neither has enough time built up to take the 4 weeks (with paid time off) that Josiah needs to get well. Household bills must still be paid; and that is where this fund raiser comes in. 

 Family and friends of Melissa and Jeremy (and Malachi, Madison, and Josiah) decided to create this page in an effort to respond to the many, many people who have reached out to Melissa and Jeremy asking, “How can I help?” or “Let me know if you all need anything.” We decided to respond to those questions/statements and create this page. This is their most tangible need at this time, as one of them will be staying at home with Josiah as he gets well and back on his feet (literally). 

 We know that our God is Jehovah Jirah (God our Provider) and that He will supply all of Melissa and Jeremy’s needs according to His glorious riches. We have set a monetary goal that will assist them in meeting household needs (which will include hospital bills) over the course of the next month (based on the income that will be suspended due to taking leave without pay and the leave already taken without pay during Josiah’s hospital stay).
