Gerald and Kylon remain Altadena Strong!

Gerald is 80 years old and has lived in Altadena for over 30 years. He takes care of his 15-year-old grandson. Gerald has been a pillar of the Altadena community for years. He came from Jamaica with his wife in the '70s. He lost his wife several years ago and also took in his grandson. He loved his gardens and animals, both of which he has lost. He said that he has rebuilt before and he will do it again. He said he’s not too old!

I am a local physician and Gerald has worked for our family since before I was born. He came from Jamaica to help my mom when she moved here. He was integral in raising me and my siblings. Many friends still remember him from driving me for school pickups and events.
