Gerald Thomas Headstone Fund

On March 6th, 2022, Gerald Thomas passed away in the Allegheny County Jail after repeated calls for medical help were ignored over the course of several days. Gerald Thomas is one of many victims of medical neglect at the Allegheny County Jail, and we are asking for support as his mother finally looks to give her son the resting place he deserves. As we come up on the one-year anniversary of Gerald's passing, his mother, Juana Saunders, would like to memorialize her son with a headstone at his gravesite.

Gerald was a loving father, son, and brother. His passing was unexpected and left a financial burden on his loved ones. We hope we can help his family find closure and memorialize Gerald in a way that reflects his family's love for him.

No one should have to worry about whether or not they can give their son a proper burial. While we can not change what happened, we can give his family a small bit of closure and honor his memory.
