Gerald’s Surgery and Recovery

This is a very difficult time for our family and I’m completely coming out of my comfort zone at this time to ask for help.

On the night of August 10, 2019 leading up to the morning of August 11th my husband (Gerald) felt extremely short of breath, and fatigue. He had been dealing with the shortness of breath for a little over a month at that point, thinking it was anxiety or stress he didn’t feel compelled to get checked out. We rushed to the emergency room where he was admitted with Congestive Heart Failure, high blood pressure, stage two kidney damage and a very leaky aortic valve. Due to the major leak he is scheduled to have open heart surgery to replace the valve on September 26, 2019. 

Having this surgery will result in him missing two months of work, not including his week long hospital stay. 

Gerald is a 38 year old passionate barber who loves his clients and enjoys giving back when he can to help those in need. He is a loving husband and father of three. 

We ask for anything that can help us manage financials as we attempt to keep life as normal as possible while he recovers after his surgery.
