Gerald's Emergency Vet Bills

Gerald is at it again, and by at it again I mean getting super hurt and costing a ton of money in vet bills. This time, it's to save his eye.
I don't know how he did it, but Gerald managed to puncture his eye completely through his cornea and into the anterior cavity, resulting in a blood clot and an ulcer. He's already on 6 different medications and had a lofty vet bill Monday, but after today, we found out that it's much more extensive than the doctors originally thought.
Gerald is going to need surgery to correct the problem and to be able to supply blood to the punctured area for it to heal properly. If all goes well, he'll have a normal functioning eye again.
Unfortunately, the money isn't there. I lost my job back in March and I've been making up for it in other ways here and there to pay my bills, but I just don't have it for all of Gerald's bills. I feel terrible about this whole situation, like I'm this terrible dog mom. Money just sucks and makes everything so difficult. And then the poor bear and his hurt eye, it's just sad.
I didn't want to have to result to this again, but if there's anything at all that can be spared to spare Gerald's eye, my family, myself, and especially the baby bear would be so incredibly appreciative.
