Aloha Everyone!

As very few of you know, my mom has been in the hospital since we arrived back home from California in June. Her right foot got infected while we were on the trip and the doctor amputated two of her toes in hopes that they would be able to save her foot and stop the infection from spreading. Unfortunately, they were ultimately unable to save her foot so the doctor had to amputate by cutting right below her knee. If you know our family, we rarely ask for help of any kind, but any help is very much appreciated. I have started this gofundme campaign on behalf of my mom to hopefully get assistance in paying her medical bills (that's steadily climbing), and to help with the adjustments we will have to make in the future (prosthetic, making house more accessible, etc) as this will be a very drastic life change for her and for us. Your thoughts and prayers have helped us through this very difficult time and we truly appreciate all of you for your well wishes. We realize that many of you will be hearing about this for the first time, and for that we apologize. We had to truly take the time to process this as a family and make peace with it all. Your consideration is appreciated and we thank you all in advance for any help that you can give. My mom is the strongest woman I've ever known and nothing will hold her down for long. She's a fighter, and a warrior. And I know that with the help of our Trojan Nation, and the army of friends, family, and supporters we have behind her, we will get through this.
