FRANCISCO GERONIMO COLON was a KOREAN war VETERAN a MAN of GOD deeply RELIGIOUS who was an US AIRFORCE airplane mechanic while serving his country in the GOOD OLE USA!  He LOVED and respected all of his FAMILY members and friends especially his CAR mechanic SON EDWIN GERONIMO COLON who PASSED away TOO young and who like my DAD had a HEART of GOLD.  And he also loved wearing HATS just like me and LOVED Batman with Adam West :).  He was an INCREDIBLE character who LIVED an AMAZING life with plenty of struggles, fights, and ADVENTURES.  He will be MISSED sorely by everyone who met him and even those who NEVER met him :).  We need more PEOPLE like him on this PLANET because this PLACE would be a PARADISE with GERO in CHARGE :), we LOVE and MISS you daddy a WHOLE bunch!  The money will be used to help for his FUNERAL, BURIAL, and AIRPLANE ride back to NYC with my sisters Angela Venetis Colon and Angie Quinones coming along to accompany him.

HONESDALE, PA — Edwin Geronimo Colon of Beach Lake died Friday, December 22, 2006 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was 43 and a HUGE NY Jets FAN!

The son of Francisco and Carmen Iglesias Colon of New York, he was born November 20, 1963 in New York City.

In high school, Edwin played football, baseball and was a drag racer in Englishtown, NJ. He and his family moved to the Honesdale area in 1999. He was employed at Ashley Chevrolet as an auto technician for the past seven years. He was an active member of the community, coaching in the Honesdale Stinger Football Program, as a member of the Beach Lake Fire Police and as a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish. He attended St. Bernard Church in Beach Lake. He enjoyed antique cars, the lake and sunsets.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Carmen I. Santos Colon, at home; two sons, Edwin A. and Christopher M. Colon, both at home; a brother, Israel Colon of New York City; two sisters, Angela Venetis-Colon of Fresno, California, and Angelina Quinones of Merced, CA; a brother-in-law AIRFORCE VETERAN Carlos Santos of New York; two sisters-in-law, Maritza Alessandro and Anita Kasper, both of Long Island; aunts; uncles; two nieces; one nephew; and many many friends like Richard Wozniak, Kevin Kasper
 and Jesse Viera.

I NEVER met anyone who had a BAD word to say about Eddie :), he was a SPECIAL SPECIAL person!
