Help Gerry Fight Stage 4 Cancer
Donation protected
UPDATE 12/6/2023: First off Gerry would like to thank everyone who has donated for their kindness and generosity. Since the cancer diagnosis was sudden and some time has passed since starting this campaign, there is more information as to Gerry's medical condition. Through a series of CT, PET, MRIs and a full body Bone Scan it was determined that the Prostate Cancer is metastatic and has spread to at least four lymph nodes and to his bones making it Stage 4b. The MRI showed two brain tumors, the larger of which was removed on 7/28/23. The Pathology on the tumor came back as metastatic malignant Melanoma (Stage 4) a more serious an immediate concern. The tumor removal site and the smaller tumor were treated with Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and ongoing Keytruda immunotherapy for the Melanoma. After tolerating the first Keytruda treatment well he began ADT/hormone treatment for the Prostate Cancer. This will be an ongoing process with continued scans and tests to monitor the effectiveness of the treatments. Early indications are he is responding to these treatments. There are also two small melanomas on his liver which have shrunken somewhat since treatment has begun. He is experiencing some of the side effects of these dual treatments and maintains a positive attitude. We reached our initial goal but because of this situation he may be out of work longer than originally anticipated so we are extending this fundraising campaign. Thank You.
Our local friend, musician, soundman, veteran, and amp repair man (at Charlie’s Music) Gerry Cimino has prostate cancer and a brain tumor. He’s going in 7/28/23 to get the brain tumor removed. He probably won’t be able to work for six months or so.
there will be a lot of procedures over the next year or so to try to keep him with us. We are hoping to give him a bit of financial assistance to help with his medical and living expenses. Thank you.
