get Lydia GCS

hi my name is Lydia, and my gender confirmation surgery is right around the corner, just at the start of 2024. It’s really important to me because I feel like I’ve been waiting for it my whole life. I spend an inordinate amount of time worrying about that particular part of me, and it’ll be nice to not have to worry quite so much anymore.

Insurance won’t cover most of the expenses. There have been some bumps along the way. I need to have some security going into this. I have to travel out of state to even get the surgery & then I’m gonna stay there for a month, so I’m working a lot of overtime & shutting down a lot of my more fun activities now to very carefully make sure this gets done, i might not get another chance.

my chosen family are going to be staying with me as caregivers, and part of this ask is having enough funds for them to be comfortable and safe. I won’t really be able to walk for a few weeks , but I hope we have enough that they can have a nice time while helping me out so much.

I set the funding goal because it matches my personal funding goal.

if we exceed my funding goal, it means I will have more time to rest before a big moment in my life.
