Please help Ana’el get into special school

Hi my name is Rachel and I am fundraising for my beautiful girl Ana’el.

Ana’el is 8 years old and was born with Down syndrome, she struggles with her cognitive development, emotional regulation and social development due to her speech delay. Ana’el currently attends a mainstream school, but she has to work extra hard to learn and needs a lot of support. She finds it very difficult there and unfortunately the school don’t have the facilities to help her. She doesn’t have any close friends and spends her day out of the classroom doing her own thing. The older she gets the more isolated she is becoming from her peers and the further she falls back in her education, so we need to rectify the situation. We desperately want to send her to a special school. She loves to learn and with the right support and class structure she will be able to thrive and make some friends. She will also have access to integrated therapies which is vital to her learning. This is where we need your help. The Local Authority won’t support our decision to change her school and have said she should stay where she is so we’re having to pay for lawyers to appeal and fight this decision. We know our daughter and what is right for her and we can’t stand by while she loses out on a proper education.
